The 27-year-old starlet Amanda Bynes, popular for her roles in a number of television shows and on the big screen has admitted to having a nose job. Bynes has taken to the Twitter highway to reveal that she did, in fact, have a nose job several years ago. Bynes says that she hates when media outlets use old photos of her, gushing, “I look so much prettier in my new photos.”
“Intouch used a photo from years ago on their cover and I hate it! The reason I’ve asked all magazines and blogs to stop using old photos of me is I don’t look like that anymore! I had a nose job to remove skin that was like a webbing in between my eyes. I wasn’t going to tell anyone, but I look so much prettier in my new photos that I don’t want old photos used anymore!” she tweeted May 5.
“I’m so sick of magazines and blogs using old photos! When will they stop?” Bynes continued. “I will never look like that again! Having surgery was the most amazing thing for my confidence!”
Amanda Bynes appears to be yet another young troubled star following the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. Bynes however has been open about her new appearance, tweeting about her haircut, weight loss and style over the past few months. Perhaps coming clean about having a surgical procedure has brought her a sense of comfort in her fast paced young celebrity rat race.
Last week in a report put out by the Los Angeles Times, there has been a 4,378% rise in the number of women seeking “upper arm-lifts” since 2000. The surgeons interviewed in the report did not give the exact reason for such a astronomic rise in the amount of women seeking this particular cosmetic procedure it did state that women “are paying closer attention to the arms of female celebrities.” One of the most popular arms being those of the First Lady Michelle Obama.
The idea of celebrity-inspired cosmetic or plastic surgery is not a new one by any means of the imagination. The drastic increase in women seeking cosmetic procedures has prompted the website Celbuzz to ask the question: what would the perfect celebrity body part Frankenstein look like?
After years of thin eyebrows being trendy, women are letting their fill out, citing Megan Fox as an inspiration. In fact, many women who overplucked are paying $8,000 for surgery that transplants hair from your head to above your eyes. The only downside being, that hair continues to grow at the same rate leaving you with curtains over your eyes.
For the eyes, it is Anne Hathaway’s that are most often requested. Doctors say they have many patients coming in to request the “Anne Hathaw-eye.” No, just kidding, that’s something I just made up.
The rhinoplasty has long been a popular surgical procedure. But for inspiration, women looking to fix their noses are going to another nation’s figurehead: Kate Middleton. The queen-to-be’s nose is the top requested by women looking to tweak their noses. The New York Daily News even called the princess’ schnoz “spring’s hottest accessory.” And a New York-based surgeon told the paper that the procedure is so popular he keeps a dozen photographs of Middleton in the office for patients to look at during their consultation.
There are plenty of celebrities with giant lips to covet, but for this one Scarlett Johansson comes out on top. Surgeons report women most often cite her lips as the ones they’d like to have. Injections used to plumpen lips are the second most popular minimally-invasive cosmetic procedure in America, after Botox injections, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
It’s Halle Berry’s chin that women are clamoring for, apparently. Hers is the most requested chin/jawline in Hollywood. In fact, Hollywood is likely where most of those procedures are happening, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports that 36% of all chin augmentations in the U.S. are performed in the western states.
Selena Gomez is another 20 something singer, actress slash fashion designer that has been making it big in the lime-lite the past couple of years. She became famous as character Alex Russo, in the Emy Award-winning Disney television series the “Wizards of Waverly Place”. She also made her way to the silver screen with performances in a few movies like “Another Cinderella Story” and the “Princess Protection Program” to name a couple.
Born in Grand Prarie, Texas back in 1992, this former Disney Channel starlet with both Hispanic and Italian American heritage has also put out a few singles and a couple of albums as she made her way into the pop star limt-lite following other Disney actresses like Miley Cyrus and Britany Spears. Like those before her, Selena Gomez also has got a little inkwork done to adorn her pop-idol body.
Selena Gomez Musical Note Tattoo
Selena Gomez’s first tattoo is a tiny music note on the outside of her right wrist. Selena told the E online in an interview that she was named after Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, and that music is a big influence for her. Selena also said that there is a bunch of music stuff from her mom that means a lot to her as well.
She got the musical note tattoo after she announced that she was going to be taking a break from music so that she could spend more time focusing on her acting carrier. Maybe she wanted the tattoo to remind her that she is rock-star even when she is not spotlight?
Selena Gomez’s Neck Tattoo
Selena Gomez’s second tattoo is a Roman Numeral on the back of her neck. Their is speculation as to the meaning of this piece but many believe that it is a tribute to her mother. The artist who gave Selena the tattoo said that she explained that the tattoo was tribute to a family member that meant so much to her.
The tattoo is “LXXVI” which is the number 76 for those of you you that don’t know of forgot how to read Roman numerals. Selena’s mother was born in 76, could this be for her?
Selena Gomez’s Fake Tattoo’s
Like many other young 20 something starlets trying to leave their mark in their fans minds, Selena has also been known to have some fake tattoos form time to time, like a cross on her hand and her x-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s name on her wrist. These however were just drawn on with a pen like Taylor Swift has been known to do.
Country Singer Taylor Swift has been in the lime-lite the past couple of years with a growing fan base and sellout arena concerts around the US.
Not only does she write her own music, but she actually can play an instrument and perform her songs without lip singing or naughty dance moves. Her “girl-next-door” persona is loved by many mothers and their pre-teen daughters who attend her concerts and publicity outings in droves.
Taylor also has a little ink that she sports under her left wrist and on the top of her foot. Although there is speculation if these are real tattoos or just temporary henna tattoos there is defiantly a meaning or reason behind the artwork that she chooses to adorn on her body.
Taylor Swift’s Number 13 Tattoo Meaning:
Under her left wrist Taylor sports the number 13. She was born on December 13th and claims that 13 is her lucky number. She has also been known to color in a large number 13 on the outside of her left hand with eyeliner and nail polish. There is speculation as to if the small number 13 on the inside of her wrist is just a temporary tatto or a permenant one.
Taylor Swift’s Heart Tattoo Meaning:
The heart tattoo is most likely a fake considering it is shown three times on her album sleeve always on her left foot. However on the “Our Song” video, it’s shown several times, always on her RIGHT foot. It should be noted that in both cases, the other foot is shown without a tattoo.
Sources say that Taylor admits that the tattoo is not real but that her and her team have all vowed to get a real heart tattoo on their left foot if her album goes double platinum. She admits that it’s a really huge number, “but if we get there with this album, I want to do something to commemorate it. haha.”
Taylor Swift’s Scribble Tattoo Meaning:
Along with the number 13 on the outside of the left hand Taylor Swift also is known to scribble lyrics of her favorit songs on her arm. Don’t worry moms, these are not real tattoos but temporary ones that the 20 something has been seen sporting at different events and shows.
