France’s famously reclusive First Lady of Botox has been hitting the campaign trail with her husband recently and showing off her plastic surgeons handy work. The thing is that instead of looking like a younger fresh-faced version of herself, Carla has joined the “cat face” club. Celebrities such as Madonna, Heather Locklear, Joan Rivers, Priscilla Presley, as well as many others have fallen victim to the cat face curse by taking to much of a good thing to far. While the “pillow face” is caused by using too much filler, the “cat face” is the result of having too much of everything — all done badly.
The cat face look is defined by soaring eyebrows, triangular visage and slanting eyes and is caused when too much Botox is given, especially in the center of the forehead. This makes the forehead very smooth and can cause the center of the brows to drop making the outer edges of the eyebrows fly up in a very artificial way. The second element of the cat face is cheek fillers. If too much is put in, the enlarged cheek presses against the eye, making it look smaller and slanted. This is especially obvious if the woman is smiling. Too much filler also gives the face a triangular look: wide at the cheekbones and comparatively narrow at the jaw. In moderation, this is a youthful shape; but in excess, it just adds to the feline quality. And if Botox has always been used to eliminate any lines, the smooth, artificial, cat-like shape is further emphasized.
Luckily for Carla temporary fillers will wear off between four and 18 months, depending on their thickness. Botox also wears off after four to six months. So, in most cases, an accidental cat face will vanish of its own accord.
Many people have admired Mickey Rourke’s acting skills over the years, but what exactly has happened to the once leading man’s ruggedly handsome face? Well, Rourke’s career as a boxer did leave the star with a split tongue, a compressed cheekbone and two concussions from his ten professional bouts. But all of that was even before making a career change to acting, Rourke had a nose job, rebuilding it with cartilage from his ear. So what happened to produce the face we saw in the criticly acclaimed film “The Wrestler”?
It appears Mickey has had a brow lift which makes his hairline pull back and reveals much more forehead.
His right eyebrow is lower and that affects the right eye, making it look smaller than his left.
Mickey may have also undergone an eyelid lift and at least one poorly done face lift that has resulted in to much pulling on the deep layers of the muscles in his face giving him a a deformed dimply appearance on his lower cheeks.
It has also been rumored that the actor will undergo some more plastic surgery for a role he will be playing rugby star Gareth Thomas, 22 years his junior.
Madonna has always been known for her ability to reinvent herself, but maybe the reinvention of her face has past it’s expiration date. From the above picture taken from early in her career, and the after taken as recently as December 2011, Madonna is looking pretty freaking good for a 53 year old Mom of 4… that is if you don’t ask her to turn her head or smile! The after picture featured below is Madonna just a couple of months before her facial fillers had had time to settle.
Granted, in the before picture she is not smiling but in the after shot it looks as though her cheeks are about to burst! Madonna has all the money in the world to pay the best Plastic Surgeons to nip and tuck her to look as beautiful as possible, but sometimes you need to know when to say when.
